Installation

With a plethora of successful shade sail installations under our tool belts, Sun Safe Shade Sails have a long list of satisfied clientele that can vouch for our high-quality shade sail installation service. We prioritise transparency, time-efficiency, high-quality workmanship and affordability.
Ensuring that your shade sail services are conducted by a fully licensed shade sail installer is of paramount importance. An installation-gone-wrong can lead to large sums spent correcting errors on top of the already-lost money on the initial first attempt at installation. At Sun Safe Shade Sails, we do it once and do it right.

Most shade sail installations follow these steps:

  • Most shade sail installations require posts. We offer a range of powder-coated colours, so you can select the perfect tone to complement your home’s colour scheme. As a standard, we use 100×100 4mm galvanised posts.
  • We measure the ideal width and depth of the hole before digging post holes manually with a post hole digger, unless special circumstances require otherwise. We choose to manually dig holes to minimise the risk of underground damage to utilities.
  • We mix and pour concrete onsite and leave it to fully set for up to a week before the shade sail is installed.
  • While shade sails can be attached to the structure in a variety of ways, the most common method is to use roof mounts which are attached to the trusses of the house.
  • Additionally, sail track is also often attached to the fascia of the house for a seamless join.
